Article VIII

Gateway Solar Energy Center, LLC plans to submit an application to the Office of Renewable Energy Siting (ORES) for a Major Renewable Energy Facility pursuant to Article VIII of the New York State Public Service Law in 2024.

While all information pertaining to the project will be updated via the project website, once the application is filed, it may also be examined in person during normal business hours at the Office of Renewable Energy Siting and at a library serving the district of each member of the state legislature in whose district any portion of the proposed facility is to be located or could be impacted by the proposed facility.

Intervenor Funding

Upon submission of the application for a siting permit, Gateway Solar Energy Center, LLC will submit $180,000 to be deposited in a local agency account. Local agency account means an account established by ORES and maintained by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority pursuant to Article VIII of the New York Public Service Law that eligible local agencies and potential community intervenors can request funding from in order to participate in public comment periods or hearings. Any local agency or potential community intervenor seeking funds shall submit a request for initial funding within 30 days of application filing and that request shall be made to the Office of Renewable Energy Siting at:
